En söndagskväll på JAZZKÖKET , en av landets mest respekterade låtskrivare och sångare, det kommer bli innerligt.
2018 är året Kristofer Åström firar 20 år som soloartist. När Fireside tog en paus 1998 solodebuterade Kristofer Åström med skivan Go Went Gone.
När Kristofer nu kommer till Östersund blir det så avskalat det kan bli , Ensam på scenen med rösten , gitarren och en fantastisk låtskatt.
Under åren har han hunnit släppa en hel del album och några minialbum.
Hans uttryck går inte att ta fel på. Den nakna, sällan höjda rösten och de raka, gripande texterna har en sällsynt förmåga att få publiken att lyssna.
Åströms musikaliska bana började i början av 1990-talet som gitarrist, sångare och låtskrivare i bandet Fireside. Bandet släppte sex album mellan 1998 och 2003, turnerade flitigt i både Europa och USA, signades av stjärnproducenten Rick Rubin och hans bolag American Recordings som även släppte Johnny Cash sista album.
Kristofer Åström solodebuterade 1998 med Go, Went, Gone. Den större uppmärksamheten som soloartist kom med det grammis nominerade albumet Nothern Blues 2001 som innehöll låten All Lovers Hell.
Han har genom åren samarbetat med artister som bl.a. The Bear Quartet, Monster, Cookies N' Beans och Britta Persson..
Kristofer tilldelades 2010 priset i kategorin årets singer-songwriter för albumet Sinkadus på Manifestgalan. Han har även producerat samt varit låtskrivare åt flertalet artister.
