Vi presenterar stolt Damien Jurado på intima Studioscenen i Storsjöteaterns lokaler söndagen den 14/10.
Seattle-baserade folk-singer/songwritern Damien Jurado har precis tillkännagivit nya albumet, ‘The Horizon Just Laughed’ som ges ut 4e maj av Secretly Canadian, skivbolaget som varit Jurados hem de senaste femton åren. Det råkar även vara femton år sedan han efter albumet ‘Where Shall You Take Me?’för första gången gav sig ut på våra Svenska vägar på turné - något som han flitigt återkommit till sedan dess.
Precis som tidigare album börjar ‘The Horizon Just Laughed’ med en dröm, men det är redan där saker börjar ändras - som de så ofta gör. Det är Damiens första helt själv-producerade album efter att ha arbetat tillsammans med vännen Richard Swift sedan 2010, och är en personligare och mer rotad historia än till och med de senaste albumen i ’Maraqopa’-trilogin. Det är lite som om han hittat hem igen, efter all den här tiden som spenderats på vägarna. Albumets utformning är lite av ett kollage, en reseberättelse med syfte att hitta en mening och en koppling till en allt föränderligare värld. Där varje sång är en ny del, som om de vore ett brev eller ett vykort från en ny plats på vägen.
En tidig föraning om det nya albumet, och den kommande turnén får vi med videon till varmt eleganta första-singeln ‘Over Rainbows and Rainier’ som vittnar om en Jurado i absolut högform.
Som support tar Damien med sig svenske vännen Tomas artistnamn: I'm Kingfisher , rosad singer-songwriter som aldrig riktigt nått den stora publiken men som sitter på en låtskatt. Tidningar som Mojo & Uncut missar sällan att höja ett nytt släpp av I'm Kingfisher.

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services.
