Description

Join us May 22-24, 2020, for Stockholm's gathering of English-language writers, authors and editors, the Stockholm Writers Festival 2020 (SWF20). SWF20 is an event for writers looking to improve, create and be inspired. Please note: Tickets are non-refundable. However, cancellation insurance is available through Billetto.

SWF20's program follows an "a la carte" approach. To purchase agent one-on-ones and intensive workshops, you need to buy the Main Festival Pass. To buy tickets, follow these easy steps:

Step 1: Read the schedule and decide your breakout sessions and whether you want to buy "extra" tickets like intensive workshops or agent one-on-ones

Step 2: Click on "Get Tickets" and keep in mind that to buy "extras" you need to first purchase a Main Festival Pass

Step 3: Join our SWF mailing list and stay up-to-date on important information related to the Festival

Step 4: Show up at Finlandshuset May 22, and build your craft, find your tribe and learn about the business of writing.

Happy Writing from your SWF20 Tribe!

Organiser

The Stockholm Writers Festival is a weekend gathering of writers who come together to find the inspiration, knowhow and network that will help them bring their stories to the world. Our event is held in English. But we welcome writers who work in all languages and the knowledge gained during the Festival is relevant to all writers. Regardless of experience level, genre, or background.

Each year, we invite local and international teachers, industry experts and real, live agents to the Swedish capital to share their experience and insights with our attendees. We’ve been graced with keynote speakers including Sarah Waters, Elinor Lipman and Jane Friedman.

Are we the world’s friendliest festival for writers? That would be a bold claim but it’s certainly something we aspire to. There is no ‘them and us’ divide here. Everyone has something to offer and something to learn and we do provide a warm and welcoming environment for all.

FAQ

  • I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

  • I wish to cancel my ticket and receive a refund. What should I do?

The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you. To get in touch with the event organiser, simply reply to your order confirmation email or use the "Contact organiser" form on the organiser's profile. For more help with this, read here.

  • I have registered on the waiting list, what happens now?

If more tickets become available you will be notified (by email) amongst others who have joined the list. Purchasing is on a first-come first-serve basis. For more information, read here.

  • Where do I find a link to an online event?

Check your order confirmation page or order confirmation email. Usually, the organiser of the event provides the details in the order confirmation email or they might send you a follow-up email with a link to their online event. You might also want to read the event description on Billetto where an event organiser should describe how to join the event online. For more information on this, read here.

  • What is refund protection and why would I need it?

Refund Protection provides you with the assurance that if unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances interfere with your ability to attend an event you can claim a refund. For more information on this, read here.
