INDIALUCIA - is a music project combining two musical styles: Indian music and flamenco. This project originated in 1999 in India among teachers and students of the Nagpur Music Academy. Many outstanding musicians from both continents took part. The originator, producer and artistic director is guitarist Miguel Czachowski.

The fruit of this musical encounter was an album released in 2005, which won acclaim in Poland and worldwide. The album was awarded the Virtual Goose and Folk Phonogram of the Year prizes by Polish Radio for the best album of 2005 and was nominated for the Fryderyk 2006 award in the Album of the Year - Folk/Etno category. In 2007, the album reached the second place of the best World Music albums released in the USA. The music from the album was used as the soundtrack for the Hollywood film 'Boston Saints II'.

The combination of Spanish Roma and Indian music may seem exotic, but if we remember that the Roma community came to the Iberian Peninsula originaly from India, we can say that this project is a return to the roots.

The duo has given concerts in India, Mexico, the USA, Canada, Russia, Singapore, Oman, Spain, Turkey, Austria, Germany, England, France, Italy, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary and Romania, among others.

The concert is part of Gothenburg's Culture Departments celebration program of Gothenburg 400 year in coolaboration with Shirgandha Kannada Balaga and House of Possibilitas.

Musiken från albumet användes som soundtrack till Hollywood-filmen "Boston Saints II". Kombinationen av spansk flamenco och indisk musik kan verka exotisk, men om vi kommer ihåg att romer kom till den iberiska halvön just från Indien, kan vi säga att detta projekt är en återgång till rötterna.

Duon har gett konserter i bland annat Indien, Mexiko, USA, Kanada, Ryssland, Singapore, Oman, Spanien, Turkiet, Österrike, Tyskland, England, Frankrike, Italien, Luxemburg, Tjeckien, Finland, Ungern och Rumänien.

Konserten är en del av Sommarunderhållningen och Göteborgs Stads Kulturförvaltnings 400 års jubileumsfirande i samarbete med föreningen Shirgandha Kannada Balaga och House of Possibilitas.
