Som en våt tuss i ett sandigt sår vill Smicker kicka igång live-hösten 2020. Smicker är göteborgsbaserad snäll-indie på svenska av och med Anton Fahlgren, uppbackad av ett svängigt band. Debutalbumet Seterra släpps 3/10 på det nystartade skivbolaget Som Sverker Recordings och detta firas på Oceanen.
Debutsingeln ”När glas går sönder” premiärspelades på P3 i slutet av augusti. ”Han är inte omedveten om att han låter som Ted Gärdestad när han sjunger och jag tycker det är asnice” sa programledaren Carolina Sandström, medan Hymn benämnde soundet som ”eget och väldigt intressant” och menade att ”Smicker kan vara ditt nya favoritband”.
Smicker är snällt men inte harmlöst, glatt men inte glättigt och består av lika delar avspändhet som allvar. Basen är groovy, saxofonen lagom sliskig, poesin subtil och sången vän. Men mer än något annat handlar Smicker om melodier och harmonier.
Nose
Nose är Göteborgsmusikern Ylva Holmdahls soloprojekt, där hon med röst, keyboard, synthbas & enkla beats bjuder på ambient pop dränkt i reverb och eko - en ljudbild som är mjuk men direkt. Det som hittills varit ett introvert projekt, börjar sakta ta form och bubbla upp. Ylva Holmdahl är annars aktiv i band som Wildhart, Holy Now & Kanot.
