Organiser

Prix du Nord- A dance competition for young dance talents across Northern Europe

1988 was the first year of the Daldansen Ballet Competition and Mora Municipality was the host and responsible party. The driving force behind the project was Sirkka-Liisa Forslund who was then employed as a dance teacher in Mora Municipality.

In 2021 the competition took a mayor step and moved to Gothenburg. Swedish National Ballet School with Artistic Director Sebastian Michanek took over as a new host for the competition. The competition changed name to Prix du Nord (PDN).

PDN is a non-profit event whose purpose is to motivate young dance talents in the Nordic and Baltic countries and contribute to their dance elite education.

This year nearly 50 young talents from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Lithuania and Sweden will compete in PDN.
