Paulo Mendonca har länge varit ett betydelsefullt namn på funk/rock scenen, han har turnérat tillsammans med bland annat Tina Turner och släppt fyra stycken album under eget namn. Hans första album Respect My Aim (1991) ledde snabbt till stor framgång och det dröjde inte länge till skivsläpp nummer två Different Phases (1993). Här finner vi hitlåtar som If You Want My Love (som toppade listorna i Schweiz, Österrike, Holland, Tyskland, Portugal och Spanien) samt Just In Case. Paulos tredje album 11PM (1995), sålde över 250.000 exemplar i Japan.
Efter att ha startat ett bokförlag i Storbritannien återvände Paulo med sitt fjärde album - Does Anybody Wanna Funk (2013). Utöver sin karriär som musiker är han också producent och låtskrivare. Efter fyra album, hundratusentals sålda skivor och miljontals streams är det dags för ett första smakprov av hans kommande album. Going Up är Paulos senaste singel som nu är tillgänglig på alla digitala plattformar. Musiken har det klassiska Mendonca-soundet, svängigt, själfullt och med meningsfulla rörande texter.
