Musik av Ralph Vaughan Williams
150-årsjubilerande engelske tonsättaren Ralph Vaughan Williams (1872-1958) är en sällsynt gäst på våra svenska konsertprogram. I sitt hemland däremot är han en mycket älskad komponist och hans musik spelas ofta och överallt – inte minst hans mycket omfattande körmusikproduktion.
Mikaeli kammarkör vill vara med och uppmärksamma denne jubilar. Vi visar fram hans stora kärlek till den engelska folkvisan och till den elisabetanska epokens musik. Han väljer sina texter med omsorg – Shakespeare förekommer ofta.
Hans musik är personlig med mycket skönhet inbyggd!
Och vi är glada att som gäster ha barytonsolisten Karl-Magnus Fredriksson och pianisten Mattias Böhm som kommer att framföra Vaughan Williams kanske främsta sångcykel – Songs of Travel.

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services.
