Jason Ringenberg är en ikon inom americana och countrypunk. Han slog igenom under 80-talet med Jason & The Scorchers som gjorde en unik blandning mellan country och punk och blev en stor influens för kommande band.
1992 började han sin solokarriär och har under åren blivit kallad ”The godfather of
americana” (Mojo) och solo har han turnerat runt hela världen (Mestadels med tåg) och
skaffat sig fans som förblivit väldigt trogna.
2002 startade han en barnkaraktär Farmer Jason som till tonerna av riktigt catchy
countrymusik undervisar barnen om livet på landet. För detta projekt vann han även en
Emmy Award
