Sverker Åström är den klarast lysande stjärnan i svensk diplomati under det kalla kriget. Han inträdde i Utrikesdepartementets tjänst 1939 och avslutade sin bana som ambassadör i Paris 1982. Däremellan var han bland annat Sveriges FN-ambassadör och kabinettssekreterare under en rad socialdemokratiska regeringar. Han stod Olof Palme nära. Men trots att han så länge var en offentlig person och på sena dagar skrev sina memoarer har stora delar av hans liv förblivit höljda i dunkel. Så till exempel hans studieår vid universiteten i Kiel och München under trettiotalet och hans roll i de tafatta försöken att utreda omständigheterna kring Dag Hammarskjölds död.
Anders Sundelin, som följt Sverker Åströms karriär ända sedan han skrev en uppmärksammad biografi över Stig Wennerström (1999), har grävt i arkiv, intervjuat kolleger och tecknar i Diplomaten ett porträtt i helfigur av mannen som på många sätt representerade svensk utrikespolitik under nära ett halvt sekel.

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you.
