Det har droppats många omdömen om Breanna Barbara från Brooklyn, New York.
”She will stir your soul, kick you in the balls and you'll keep asking for more” är ett bland många pricksäkert yttrande om hennes musikaliska tänk.
Breanna och hennes hårt attackerande band hämtar mycket av sin kraft från den tidiga råa bluesen och spetsar med ilsken punk, påträngande rockslammer och psykedeliskt flum.
Helt enkelt en liveupplevelse utöver det vanliga när hon tänjer på gränser och kraftfullt vårdar New Orleans arvet och rötterna från den amerikanska södern på sitt mycket personliga sätt.
State Of Mud, aka Björn Gidlund, som är stabil tvåa på listan över artisterna som lirat flest antal gånger på en Popgeniscen passar som ler och långhalm ihop med Breanna Barbara.
Med influenser från roots & bluesikoner som RL Burnside, Seasick Steve, Lightnin´Hopkins och Tony Joe White har han under S.O.M. flagg utvecklat och format ett sound med urstark musikalisk personlighet som inte handlar om att kopiera förebilderna, utan snarare komplettera kvartetten.
