BOY OMEGA is the roof under which multi-instrumentalist Martin Henrik Hasselgren collects his songs. Born in 1978 and raised in the southern woods of Sweden, Martin was handed the records “Creatures of the night” and “(Music from) The Elder” by Kiss at age 5. These albums got him playing drums with his mom’s knitting needles on a red chair with a weaved seat. At age 12 Martin broke his right leg at soccer practice and that summer in plaster he picked up his grandmother’s salvation army guitar, got hooked and never looked back.
Boy Omega’s unique brand of music, mixing acoustic elements with experimental electronic beats, field recordings with tape loops, Nintendo game boys with string- and horn orchestras is at once fragile, vibrant and wholehearted, and has drawn comparison to the various likes of Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens, The Cure, Björk, Xiu Xiu and New Order to name a few. According to Hasselgren, “Kraftwerk is as big an inspiration as Neil Young”

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services.
