FLOCKEN bjuder på ett öppet samspel med nerv, spontanitet och stark nukänsla där alla tar och ger stor plats, och gärna lockar publiken till dans. Bandet har funnits sedan 2011 och nu släpper de debutalbumet Altona, somär resultatet av fyra års intensivt turnerande och musikaliskt utforskande mellan fyra karaktärsstarka musiker; Två med fötterna i folkmusiken och två i jazzen.
Musiken rymmer möten mellan musiker, genrer, fri improvisation, strikta arrangemang, tradition och nyskapande. Inspirationen hämtas från klezmer samt svensk och balkansk folkmusik och mixas med influenser av tango, bulgarisk folkmusik och jazz. Välkommen till firandet av detta kraftfulla och dynamiska debutalbum Altona med göteborgskvartetten FLOCKEN!
Altona släpps på skivbolaget Kakafon Records, som tidigare står bakom albumsläpp från flera etablerade folk- och världsmusikgrupper så som Kaja, Navarra, Den Fule och Goodland Trio.
