The idea of club Soundkilla came along when Dj Ashman (the man behind legendary One Love Sound, Soundkilla Records and radio show Reggae Attack MRS.90,5 FM) and Dj Michael Dodd (co-founder of equally legendary Swing-A-Ling Movement) decided to splash a dance together in tribute to the late great Dennis Brown. The year was 2003, and club Soundkilla has been working hard ever since. During 2003 Soundkilla promoted the first live event "See it in your eyes" featuring live from the UK: the highly acclaimed loversrock singer Don Campbell, at Club Stacy. Later on, Mc Natty Silver (a.k.a. Nang Chobang from The Latin Kings) joined the Soundkilla family. In 2004, Soundkilla family was running the place every Saturday through the summer, in Dianas Källare (Gamla Stan). The following year, 2005, Soundkilla was the residents every Saturday in Mondo (now Debaser Medis). In the end of the same year Soundkilla hosted the release party for Damian Jr Gong Marley’s album "Welcome to Jamrock" in Matador (Odenplan). The club "officially" moved to Matador on New Years Eve 2006, and kept the reggae crowd in Stockholm busy every Saturday until August that year. In the spring of 2007 club Soundkilla presented live performances by Assassin, and Da'Ville at the release party for Reggae Gold 2007. Later this year Soundkilla hosted a massive tribute to Jah Cure, celebrating his release from jail, and the release of his new album "True Confessions". In 2008 Soundkilla collaborated with Uhuru Productions (Uppsala Reggae Festival) and produced shows with reggae legends Israel Vibration, conscious roots warriors Jah Mason & Lutan Fyah at Kägelbanan (Södra Teatern). The "Uppsala Reggae Festival 2008 Warm Up" featured Jah Cure - Marcia Griffiths - Ras Shiloh - a line up that filled Tyrol (Gröna Lund). Tyrol was also the venue for the last event of that year: Tanya Stephens - Jamaica's no.1 female reggae artist! Soundkilla started off 2009 with UK Reggae-Ska-Rocksteady singer Bitty McLean live at Göta Källare, and "The Living Fire" Chuck Fenda at a packed Kägelbanan. Later that spring, Soundkilla and Malayka Music (Uppsala Reggae Festival) presented the european reggae phenomenon Alborosie, followed by the massive "Uppsala Reggae Festival 2009 Warm Up" featuring "The King of Dancehall" himself: Beenie Man! (Both shows at Tyrol). In october Soundkilla brought the legendary dancehall queen Sister Nancy for her first appearance in Sweden. This special "Ladies Dancehall Night" also featured a performance by upcoming swedish reggae singer Syster Sol, at Kägelbanan......look out for club Soundkilla’s future events!

Big up to all the loyal massive and crew supporting Soundkilla through the years! /Soundkilla Family.
