BrainGymnastics  Easter Break STEAM Camp

Discover a different kind of Easter treat for your kids, a truly Faberge kind of experience to celebrate the Spring Break. An adventure to explore the history of the Faberge egg, no fairy tales but real stories. Boasting a variety of science, arts, and math activities indulging in different egg crafts and amazing experiments to fill your child’s curiosity. A marathon of engaging and fun challenges to inspire your child’s learning and prizes at stake for individual or team winners.

• Meeting and fetching point will be at Viktor Rydberg Gymnasium
• Campers will bring their lunch and STEAM Camp will provide snacks.
• Specific reminders for each day to day schedule will be sent.

Day 1: Egg Drop Contest and a “Green Thumb Day!” 

Understand the math of gravity, pressure and how it impacts construction. Designing an “Egg Hatch” and dropping their construction on a special place.During the day, the Campers will be encouraged to design their experiments. Learn about orienteering, and orient themselves in the forest of Årsta Nature Reserve to gather natural material to use for the egg drop.Each one will go home with the fun experience of an EGG DROP contest but also a box of green plants. As we enjoy the forest and celebrate Spring, our students will also be planting on recycled boxes, learning how to do seeding and soil components.(Young participants under 7 will be assisted by the camp leaders.)  

Day 2: Chocolate Easter Egg Marathon, Faberge egg design & Mindfulness 

The morning will focus on hands-on learning of making egg chocolate pralines, and grasping the chocolate confectionery. Surprising treats to sweeten the day and delight their Easter Egg.Also, the story about the Faberge eggs, what children need to know and designing their own Faberge eggs. A number of arts and crafts welcoming the celebration of Spring.In the afternoon, the Campers will be taught breathing techniques to help them refocus in their daily activities. We have a specialist who will guide us through a 1.5 program, breathing and mindfulness to enhance focus, stay calm and be present. She will be working on building their awareness using their 5 senses.  

Day 3: Easter Egg hunt, Millesgården and Fun Run Indulgence. 

Art becomes more recognisable to young learners if they are exposed early and when meaningful activities are incorporated to these exposures. At Millesgården the young campers will have an exposure to the different sculptures and an egg-citing egg hunt awaits.In between during the day, the Campers will also be coached properly on their “running.” A professional athlete will lead our young learners to a variety of techniques understanding their body coordination and have a purposeful run.

Day 4:  B is for Baking and Boule!!!  

The morning will  focus on the chemistry of baking and decorating cupcakes. A variety of baking activities to nurture  their maths. The Campers will have a hearty lunch and probably a barbecue treat if the weather is right.

In the afternoon , the Campers will have a proper introduction on playing "boule."  

A variety of exciting outdoor group games and lots of prizes await as we end our SPRING CAMP. Needless to say, their EASTER celebration will be a total FABERGE-LOUS Adventure!!!
