Come and experience the Young Nordic programmes together with their target audience!
Young Nordic is a selection of excellent short films and documentaries targeting children aged 8-12, and everyone who’s young at heart. Schools in Malmö can book screenings through Kulturkartan.
The programmes are curated by the Department of Culture, Malmö City and BUFF, Malmö’s international festival of films for children and young people. Every March, BUFF screens more than 100 films, creating an essential focal point for anyone working with children’s film and media.
The films in the Young Nordic programmes compete for the Children’s Choice Award, chosen by the young audience themselves.

The girls are well on their way, but their relationship changes when Bettan loses interest in wrestling. Jaana has to choose between her best friend or her own goals. The wrestling mat is a space where feelings can be let out. A film for anyone who has ever felt as if they’d burst from putting a lid on feelings.
