Den amerikanska hiphopartisten Yelawolf är aktuell med den kritikerhyllade skivan Love Story som släpptes i april 2015. Eminem är skivans enda gäst samt exekutiv producent på albumet som, vilket titeln antyder, är Wolfs hittills mest passionerade projekt. Love Story är ett nyskapande hip hop album med tydliga influenser från outlaw country och klassisk rock, blandat med välskrivna texter om livet i en trailerpark och en kritisk syn på The Star-Spangled Banner. Soundet gifter sig perfekt med Wolfs tekniska färdigheter och tidvis lyriska tematik, och med singlar som ”Til It’s Gone” och ”Box Chevy V” känns det som att Wolf har hittat hem.
Den vita, smala och tungt tatuerade rapparen började göra mixtapes under början av 2000-talet och utmärkte sig tidigt i hiphopvärlden med sin tydliga stil från den amerikanska södern. Han skapade sig snabbt en stabil fanbase i Atlanta med sin så kallade ”arena-rap”, men det var inte förrän 2010 som Yelawolfs karriär satte fart på riktigt. Han släppte då mixtapet Trunk Muzic, vilket ledde till en massiv följarskara, skivkontrakt med Interscope Records och samarbeten med legender som Big Boi och Bun B. Under 2011 bytte Yelawolf till Eminems skivbolag Shady Records och släppte albumet Radioactive, vilket föranledde omdömet ”It’s clear that Yelawolf’s star is sure to shine for the foreseeable” av BBC Music.
