Examenskonsert, kördirigering.
Två studenter i kördirigering, Viktor Elinder och Rasmus Krigström tar examen och gör därför sin sista konsert med KMH Vokalensemble. Viktors tema är intonation i körsång och Rasmus tema är orkestermusik arrangerad för kör a cappella. Även manskören Zero8 gästar konserten!
I konsertens första tema får vi musik av tonsättarna Nicola Vicentino och Ben Johnston, som på sina egna sätt och med några hundra års mellanrum vigt sina musikaliska karriärer åt att utveckla vår förståelse för intonation.
I konsertens andra tema upptäcker vi fenomenet orkestermusik arrangerad för kör a cappella. En krävande och avancerad form av körsång med ett eget sound, ofta utsatta lägen för sångarna men ett otroligt häftigt resultat och tydligt annorlunda jämfört med andra former av körsång. Musik av Haydn, Dvořák, Grieg, Barber, Elgar och Mahler är på tapeten.
