Uno Svenningsson började sin karriär som sångare i bandet Freda (1982 – 1993 med hitlåtar som "Vindarna", "I en annan del av världen" & "Tusen eldar" m.m.
Efter tio framgångsrika år som sångare med Freda påbörjade Uno sin solokarriär 1994 genom att släppa albumet Uno. Duetten Tro på varann tillsammans med Eva Dahlgren blev snabbt populär och när tredje singeln Under ytan släpptes var framgången ett faktum – Uno skulle komma att bli en av Sveriges mest respekterade låtskrivare och folkkäraste artister. Vid slutet av året tog han emot den prestigefyllda Rockbjörnen under kategorin ’Årets manliga artist’.
7 soloalbum har Uno hunnit med. Det sista (2014) heter just ”Uno 7″.
