Musikerkollektivet Thymeshift utvidgar/utvecklar/utmanar begreppet ”storband”.
Noga utvalda gästmusiker/kompositörer bjuds in till Thymeshifts universum för att skapa tänkande och kraftfull nutidsmusik.
Thymeshift har sedan starten 2010 (med originalmedlemmarna Johan Björklund, Thomas Gunillasson och Thomas backman) rört sig i gränslandet mellan rock/jazz/elektroniskt & akustiskt.
Gruppen har samverkat med diverse musiker och släppt ett flertal album.
Med isländske gitarristen Hilmar Jensson ”Beyond Horizons” (2015), med elektronikmästaren Jonas Färnlöf ”The Sonic E/Dope Regards” (2017)
och med danska keybordisten Katrine Amsler ”Dark Lights” (2021).
Gruppen arbetar för närvarande med ett nytt album tillsammans med keyboardisten John Lönnmyr som släpps våren 2023.
2019 väcktes idén att starta projektet ”Thymeshift United” där gruppens säregna musik skulle utvidgas för ett större band bestående av några av medlemmarnas favoritmusiker.
Originalgruppens spännande repertoar fick här nytt och delvis annorlunda liv. Till detta adderas kompositioner från hela kollektivets medlemmar och det skapas en dynamisk, unik ljudbild där summan är mycket större än de individuella delarna. Musikerna i bandet hittas vanligtvis i Klabbes Bank, We Float, Night Flight Orchestra, Sir Was, Daniel Lemma, Thomas Backman och många andra spännande sammanhang.
Med stöd från Musikverket blev idén verklighet första gången 2020 och gruppen genomförde en turné i en av pandemins luckor som tillät lite högre publiktal. I samband med detta spelades projektets första album ”Music Outside Boxes” in. Detta album släpptes oktober 2021 och fick fin uppmärksamhet i media. Bland annat hamnade den på Hymn.se och dess kreddiga lista över årets bästa släpp.
Hösten 2022 samlas projektet igen för att äntligen kunna genomföra releaseturné för albumet och skapa ny musik till framtiden!
Kom hungrig och nyfiken, detta är musik utan spärrar eller skygglappar.

The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your Thymeshift united tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you.
