    ”Things That Can Survive in Space” är ett koreografiskt experiment för två publiker. En närvarande publik och en hypotetisk.
    I detta, deras första verk, koreograferar Anika Edström Kawaji och Robin Haghi med intentionen att blotta sig själva inför den astronomiska kosmos. De undersöker vad det fysiska uttrycket och deras kroppars kommunikativa kvaliteter blir genom att spegla sig i rymdens alienerande tomhet.
    Tillsammans med kompositören Markus B. Almqvist och ljusdesigner/scenograf Elias Ortiz bjuder de in publiken till ett scenrum utan tak. Föreställningen är ett experiment där de skickar danser till obestämd adress ute i rymden.
    Projektet tog avstamp i NASAs ambitiösa och absurda uppdrag Voyager (1977) och deras försök att skapa intergalaktisk flaskpost. Ombord de två rymdsonder som NASA skickade iväg för att studera rymden bortom vårt solsystem placerades två gyllene LP-skivor. Skivorna innehåller en samling hälsningar på olika språk, musik, naturljud och fotografier. Ett försök att kapsla in olika uttryck för vår jordliga tillvaro, ifall att någon skulle komma i kontakt med sonderna på deras färd i rymden.
