Thilini Guldbrand Trio är Göteborgsbandet som med stor framgång och på ett eget sätt tolkar Cornelis Vreeswijks visskatt.
Thilini Guldbrands själfulla och jazziga röst låter som om den vore kommen from deep down in Lousiana. Hennes souliga blues kan liknas vid Bessie Smith eller Janis Joplin. Hon kommer från Falun och är lika hemma i den svenska folkmusiken som i bluesen och jazzen.
Hon har under många år sjungit Cornelis och även spelat in ett album med ”Cornelistolkningar”. Thilini sjunger på jazz- och bluesklubbar, kulturhus, på festivaler runt om i landet och har varit med i SVT:s midsommarkonsert när den sändes från Göteborg.
Senaste året har hon bland annat sjungit med Bohuslän Big Band, med Kalle Moraeus och även med Anita Strandell, sångerskan som under en tid var gift med Cornelis.
Thilini har beskrivits som: ”En röst mycket väl värd att lyssna på”.
Bandmedlemmarna är de fantastiska musikerna Johan Bengtsson på kontrabas och banjo och jazzpianisten Per Walfridsson Ohls på Piano, dragspel och gitarr.
Arrangeras av Lilla Utön på Ängsö i samarbete med Engsö hembygdsförening.
