Fantastiska THE SPACE LADY är tillbaka!! Vi är otroligt glada över att lyckats få henne till Garaget igen, senast hon var här 2016 och det var en helt underbar konsertupplevelse!
The Space Lady är en musikalisk outsider som nu nått ikonstatus. Efter 30 år av ryktesspridning och beröm via munsägen släppte den kultförklarade gatumusikern år 2013 sitt album "The Space Lady's Greatest Hits" via Night School Records. Plattan hamnade direkt på the Guardians lista över de 101 märkligaste skivorna på Spotify. Har du inte hunnit lyssna på den än så GÖR DET!
Susan Dietrichs, aka The Space Lady, född 1948 i Colorado, försörjde sig själv och sin familj som gatumusiker under större delen och sextio- och sjuttiotalet. På Bostons gator och i tunnelbanevagnar spelade hon dragspel och på en billig Casio under mer än två decennier. Hon spelade dels sina egna och maken Joel Dunsanys låtar, men skapade även episka covers som till exempel Ghost Riders In The Sky, ursprungligen signerad Suicide. Hennes "Greatest Hits", ursprungligen självutgiven år 1990 på handgjorda kassettband, utgör ett återvändande från ett liv präglat av UFO-observationer, flykt från amerikanska regeringen, hemlöshet, kollektivboende, liftande, och över två decennier av hårt gatumusicerande i Amerika.
