The Kokomo Kings har fått ett rykte om sig att spela en kompromisslös häxbrygd kokt på diverse rootsmusik, djupt förankrad i gammal skramlig blues.
De har beskrivits som ”mer rock´n´roll än rock´n´roll” och ”energinivå 11”.
The Kokomo Kings har spelat på klubbar och festivaler Sverige, Norge, Finland, Danmark, Tyskland, Tjeckien, Österrike, Schweiz, Spanien, Frankrike, Holland, Belgien och Storbritannien.
2013 släppte de debutalbumet ”Artificial Natural” och bandet fick snabbt ett rykte i blues- och rockkretsar. 2017 släpptes det andra albumet ”Too Good to Stay Away From” på det tyska skivbolaget Rhythm Bomb Records.
Den tyska tidningen Blues News utsåg den till månadens album, och amerikanska The Blues Junction utsåg den till årets femte bästa album.
2018 blev de nominerade till bästa rockabillyband av Ameripolitan Awards i Memphis, och senare samma år vann de utmärkelsen ”Band of the Year” av engelska The Blues Lounge Radio Show.
2021 släpptes The Kokomo Kings fjärde album ”A Drive-By Love Affair” och 2022 vann de The Blues Lounge Radio Show Awards för både ”Entertainers of the year” och ”Artist of the year”.
