TEL AVIV DAYS: BAUHAUS 100
2019 markerar 100 år sedan grundandet av Bauhaus. Grundad i Weimar 1919, flyttad till Dessau 1925 och stängd i Berlin 1933, existerade designskolan bara i sammanlagt 14 år. Trots det har Bauhaus en fortsatt stor betydelse än idag.
Tel Aviv, Den vita staden,består av 4 000 modernistiskabyggnader i Bauhaus eller international style,
uppförda från 1930-talet avtyska judiska arkitekter som emigrerade till Palestina från Nazi Tyskland.
Den vita stadenhar det största antalet byggnader av denna typ i världen och utnämndes 2003 till ett världsarv av Unesco.
