Vi känner kanske allra främst igen honom som basist i Shooter Jennings band där han varit fast medlem sedan 2003, eller som medverkande på Tanya Tucker-albumet "While I'm living" som vann en Grammy 2020 för "Country Album of the Year". Han har även spelat i kompet bakom artister som Jessi Colter, Whitey Morgan, Wilson Phillips och Logan Ledger.
Därutöver rymmer Ted Russell Kamps karriär till dags dato hela elva soloalbum, varav det senaste – "California Sun" – kom ut i våras. Han har alltid haft Dave Stewart och Buddy Miller som stora förebilder, i det att de rör sig helt sömlöst mellan rollerna – ena sekunden dolda i kompbandet, och i nästa ögonblick briljerandes på egen hand. Det nya albumet är inget undantag, här fortsätter Ted Russell Kamp sin högkvalitativa upptäcktsfärd och bjuder på solig So Cal-countryrock av absoluta toppklass.
