Tidigare programledare för melodifestivalen, promskonferencier och nu Skeppare Harald Treutiger står för snacket och ledningen av quizet med blandade frågor och Göteborg Symphonic Band står för den stämningsfulla musiken. Göteborg Symphonic Band är en stor symfonisk blåsorkester och anses av många vara en av de allra bästa i Norden.
De mycket populära PROMS-konserterna på Göteborgs Konserthus är orkesterns största arrangemang under året.
Förutom de årliga PROMS-konserterna genomför orkestern en årlig vårkonsert. Vårkonserterna har genom åren spelats på Artisten, Stora Teatern och Kronhuset.
Orkestern är även flitigt anlitad i internationella sammanhang, med turnéer senaste åren till bland annat St Petersburg, Italien, Irland, Tyskland och Frankrike.
Göteborg Symphonic Band är det civila namnet för Hemvärnets Musikkår Göteborg.
