Vilka är drivkrafterna bakom hans författarskap? Hur förändrades relationen till skrivandet efter Nobelpriset? Vad hoppas han att människor tar med sig från hans texter?
Torsdag den 22 maj gästas Studentafton av Jon Fosse för en afton om hans liv och författarskap, i samband med att han utses till hedersdoktor vid Konstnärliga fakulteten.
Jon Fosse är en norsk författare som sedan sin debutroman släpptes 1983 publicerat över 40 verk, däribland romaner, pjäser, diktsamlingar, essäer och barnböcker. Han skriver på nynorska men hans verk har översatts till över 60 språk. Idag är han en av samtidens mest spelade dramatiker och 2020 tilldelades han Nobelpriset i litteratur “för hans nyskapande dramatik och prosa som ger röst åt det osägbara”.
Fosses författarskap är ovanligt produktivt och spänner över lång tid och flera genrer. Verken utmärks av minimalism och rytm, där berättarröst, tankar och verklighet ofta glider ihop. I sina verk utforskar han existentiella teman som tro, kärlek, död och ensamhet.

Aftonen arrangeras i samarbete med konstnärliga fakulteten vid Lunds Universitet.
