för ett samtal via livestream
I samband med januaris intåg presenterar Studentafton årets första afton med visselblåsaren och före detta CIA-anställde Edward Snowden.
Edward Snowden är idag efterlyst av den amerikanska regeringen för spionage och för stöld av regeringsegendom och lever för tillfället i exil i Ryssland. År 2013 gick han ut som visselblåsaren bakom de topphemliga dokument som avslöjade USA:s massövervakning av sina egna medborgare för världen. Dokumenten vittnade om hemliga, globala övervakningsåtgärder utförda av den amerikanska underrättelsetjänsten NSA. Hemma i USA riskerar han att dömas till livstids fängelse.
Aftonen äger rum den 4 februari 2016 kl. 19.00 i Stora Salen, AF-Borgen i Lund. Dörrarna kommer att stängas 18.55. I ett modererat samtal via livestream får vi möta Edward Snowden och höra hans berättelse. Samtalet kommer att moderaras av Andreas Ekström. Som alltid avslutas aftonen med en 30 minuters frågestund med frågor från publiken.

Studentafton is proud to announce the first guest of 2016; the whistle-blower and former CIA employee Edward Snowden.
Edward Snowden is wanted by the US government for espionage and for theft of US Government property. He is currently living in an undisclosed location in Russia. In 2013 he leaked top-secret documents that revealed among other things US’s mass surveillance of their own citizens conducted by the US intelligence NSA. In the United States, he could be sentenced to life time imprisonment.
The event will take place on the 4th of February 2016 19.00 (..) at Stora Salen, AF-borgen, Lund. The doors will be closed at 18.55. In a live stream conversation Edward Snowden will share his story and as always, the last 30 minutes will be dedicated to questions from the audience.
120 SEK for members of Studentlund och 160 SEK for non-members.
