Oemotståndliga Ward Hayden & The Outliers kommer äntligen tillbaka till Sverige i april 2023. Det har gått fyra långa år sedan de var här senast och Östersund har de inte besökt tidigare!
Med sin bitterljuva hybrid av traditionell country, klassisk rock 'n' roll och nutida Americana har de blivit publikfavoriter i Skandinavien. I samband med turnén släpps även Ward Hayden & The Outliers nya album. En platta där Hayden tagit ett stort kliv framåt som låtskrivare och där bandet vidgat sin musikaliska palett ytterligare. De medryckande upptempo-låtarna vi vant oss vid kompletteras nu med några storslagna ballader som tydligt visar att Ward Hayden & The Outliers vuxit till sig utan att förlora sin spontana charm.
Vi har en viss förkärlek för hårt arbetande, flitigt turnerande amerikanska band. Band som kör mil efter mil på ödsliga skogsvägar, lägger motorvägarna bakom sig och spelar sig samman. Som bygger sin publik och växer som låtskrivare, artister och människor. Vi minns band som Cordovas, National Reserve och många fler. Ward Hayden & The Outlier är just ett sådant band
Ward Hayden & The Outlier har lika enkelt som genialt musikkoncept. Ta tidig rock 'n' roll, country, rå blues plus annan amerikansk rotmusik som du älskar, processa och gör musiken till din egen och ge dig ut på vägarna och spela, spela, spela…Det är precis det Ward Hayden & The Outlier har gjort det senaste decenniet. Till en början på små honky tonk-barer hemma i Boston, sedan på lika små barer över hela USA. Men efterhand som den otroligt lojala publiken vuxit har spelställena blivit större och större och på senare år har bandet även fått välförtjänta hyllningar i pressen.
