Kanadensiska musikgeniet Daniel Romanos som tidigare rastlöst rört sig i musikaliska landskap av country,Dylan & psykedelisk rock låter med nya projektet Ancient Shapes sin fäbless för Punk&New Wave blomma ut igen.
Det var ju någonstans i den musikaliska andan hans karriär startade redan i high school i Ontario när han tillsammans med sin bror formade bandet Attack In Black som hade fans över hela det vidsträckta landet.
2016 släppte man självbetitlade debuten med detta projekt som funnits simultant med Romanos rosade solokarriär och i år släpps uppföljaren ”Silent Rave ” under hösten.
Romano själv säger att inspirationen kommit från band som Buzzcocks & Television och ja det hörs men är man Daniel Romano så är man så pass personlig att man alltid har en extra twist på det som gör det unikt, trots att man kan se det här projektet som en hyllning till en svunnen tid.
Som lokal support kan ni se Anaugh Conda som så sent som i somras erövrade studioscenen på Storsjöyran med en riktig killerspelning efter ett uppehåll på ett antal år. Vi är otroligt glada att de tackat ja till att vara en del av denna kväll för vi har svårt att se något band vars musik skulle gifta sig såpass med Ancient Shapes som deras.
Så kavla upp ärmarna, och räkna med ett sjujävla ställ på Captain Cook denna kväll.
