Mia Maria Johansson har varit aktiv som sångerska, gitarrist och låtskrivare i Sveriges undergroundscen sedan tidigt 2000-tal, både som en del av indie/elektro/punkbandet Meine Kleine Deutsche och kritikerrosade punkakten Snake. I september förra året släppte hon sitt andra album ”Luft” på det fantastiska skivbolaget Lazy Octopus och som det inte vore nog vann hon nyligen ”årets rock” på Manifestgalan.
Med sig på scen har hon ett band bestående av medlemmar från bl.a. Matriarkatet, Sticky Baby och Sju svåra år: Emmy Windelhed på trummor, Johanna Hörnell på bas, Klara Persson på synt och Ebba Vikdahl på gitarr.

Shady Lady & The Malefactor började som ett projekt 2021 i The Dustward studio i Gamla Stan och resulterade i EPn Shady Lady & The Malefactor. Ett band bildades helt organiskt hösten 2022 tillsammans med:

Holmbird - bas
Bam Bam - trummor
Bandmedlemmarna kommer från bland annat Henry Fiat’s Open Sore, Gurk, Girafe och Komeda Bandet har uppträtt ett antal gånger i Stockholm och släppt vinylsingeln See Matilda Waltz/Cruisin’ In Berlin på Bollmora Rekords och släpper under våren maxisingeln A Nickname på Push My Buttons, som även släpper det kommande albumet. Shady Lady & The Malefactor’s musik är svårt influerad av t.ex. Sparks, B52’s, Devo och Bikini Kill. Fill in the blanks!
