Southnord presenterar Mothers and Daughters, en kväll med poesi, prosa och musik – en dialog mellan T.I.E och Kayo Mpoyi.
T.I.E är en senegalesisk-fransk poet, kompositör, rappare och konstnär. Hon kommer att skapa ett ljudlandskap med ett kollage av personliga berättelser från afroeuropeiska kvinnor om mödrar och döttrar. Kayo Mpoyi är en kongolesisk-svensk författare och konstnär. Hon kommer att läsa högt ur sin roman En övning i revolution, en bok som undersöker minne och historia, migration och gemenskap, relationer mellan mödrar och döttrar och tystnader som upprepas generation efter generation. Föreställningen presenteras i samband med Frida Orupabos utställning On Lies, Secrets and Silenceoch produceras i samarbete med Bonniers Konsthall.
Kvällen avslutas med soppa i cafét – ingår i biljettpriset.
Southnord arbetar med curatorer, konstnärer, organisationer och institutioner över hela Norden i syfte att skapa utrymme för svarta och afro-nordiska konstnärer.
Entré till utställningen ingår i priset. Begränsat antal platser. På svenska och engelska.
