Måndag 5 september får Umeå internationella författarscen fint besök från Finland. Sofi Oksanen, aktuell med den nya romanen Norma, kommer till Studion för att samtala med Annika Norlin.
Norma är ett mörkt familjedrama med magiska undertoner. Historien kretsar kring en frisörsalong och kring flickan vars namn boken lånat sin titel av.
Normas hår är övernaturligt, det växer onormalt snabbt och påverkas av minsta skiftning i hennes humör. Detta är både till välsignelse och förbannelse. Norma och hennes mamma Anita har hela livet kämpat för att hålla det hemligt och skydda Norma från att betraktas som ett missfoster. Plötsligt dör Anita i något som kanske inte bara är en olycka och Norma blir ensam i världen.
Efter samtalet signerar Oksanen romanen, som ännu inte släpps men som givetvis kommer finnas till försäljning under kvällen.
I vanlig ordning inleds programmet med ett litteraturquiz, i regi av Vicky Uhlander och Vera Lynøe.
