Free Party: A Folk History är en ny independent-dokumentär om födelsen av techno och rave-rörelsen i slutet av 80-talet och början av 90-talet och den påverkan den har haft på vår nuvarande tid. Filmen följer rörelsens tidiga år, ett möte mellan ravers och resandefolket under Thatchers sista dagar vid makten, och de explosiva åren som följde, som ledde fram till den legendariska och omtalade Castlemorton Common-festivalen 1992 – det största olagliga rave som någonsin arrangerats och som ledde till drastiska lagförändringar för att kväva de fria festerna. I filmen ser vi tidigare ovisat arkivmaterial, möter legender och rebeller, lär av erfarenheter och inte minst inspireras för framtida fester.
