SKATAN
Skatans musik rymmer popmystik och skogsmagi. Efter en stunds vila släpps nu albumet Feather Souls Heavy Waters, vilket blir Simone Wingfors tredje skiva med hjärteprojektet Skatan. Det är personligt, vackert & känsloladdat med arrangemang som skiftar mellan det kraftfulla & det sköra. Rösten är i fokus och den är stundtals vacker, stundtals farlig.
“Skivan kom till under mitt år på Biskops Arnös låtskrivarlinje. Det är en utbildning med mycket textfokus vilket fått mig att på ett nytt sätt uppleva glädjen med text. Tanken var att utforska mitt sätt att skriva och skapa musik. Jag ville göra en skiva där jag hade full kontroll från början till slut, en skiva gjord i lugn och ro. Jag har således skrivit, spelat in och producerat allting förutom gitarren på sista låten. Den spelas av Fanny Näslund som kommer spela med mig på releasen och dessutom spela ett gäng egna superfina låtar under kvällen.
Processen har innehållit mycket improvisation och vissa låtar är skrivna och inspelade på två timmar medan andra tagit otaliga timmar och omtagningar. Detta har i slutändan bidragit till ett sound jag känner är jag, ett sound med mycket skav och lekfullhet.”
