Det tog fem år efter debutalbumet Sleepyhead innan Sibille Attar släppte Paloma's Hand EP:n 2018 och nu är hon äntligen tillbaka med sitt andra album A History of Silence. Med Sleepyhead och EP:n The Flower's Bed från 2012 etablerade sig Sibille Attar snabbt som en av Sveriges mest spännande artister, med hyllningar från internationell press som Pitchfork och Stereogum och Grammis- och P3 Guld-nomineringar på hemmaplan.
Efter den omedelbara succén följde en tuff period, både kreativt och på ett personligt plan, med en lång kamp mot musikindustrins mallar innan hon lyckades bryta sig fri. Paloma's Hand var en sex spår lång popoddysé som både blev ett avslut och en början på något nytt – bara två år senare avslutade hon sitt andra fullängdsalbum A History of Silence som finns ute nu via PNKSLM Recordings.
A History of Silence är producerad av Sibille Attar själv och majoriteten av musiken är framförd av Attar. Liksom på Paloma's Hand har Sibille Attar en bred ingångspunkt till pop som hålls samman av skarpa melodier och atmosfäriska ljudlandskap med åttiotalsinfluenser. Efter att nästan ha förlorat kärleken till musiken under perioden som följde Sleepyhead är Sibille Attar nu på en helt annan plats, med ett album som hon har skapat på sina egna villkor och enligt sina egna regler.
