Teatergruppen Orkestern gör en samtida version av tv-serien Scener ur ett äktenskap av Ingmar Bergman.
Johan och Marianne har det till synes perfekta livet – två fina barn, bra jobb och materiellt hög standard. När de kommer till sitt landställe börjar de, av en slump, följa en repris av Ingmar Bergmans 70-tals serie på tv. Den smyger sig på dem, tvingar sig in mellan dem och pressar fram samtal om deras egen relation. Med Bergmans historia som fond börjar de kommunicera kring sina egna problem.
