Politisk vänsterteori har i takt med de genomgripande samhällsförändringarna sedan 1968 genomgått en radikal förnyelse. I antologin Samtida politisk teori (Tankekraft förlag) ges en grundläggande genomgång av de stora vänsternamnen inom postmarxism, postkoloniala studier, queerteori och poststrukturalism. Klass, kön, identitet, medborgarskap vänds och vrids på. Kapitalismen, demokratin och hegemonins nya former utforskas. Vad finns att hämta för vänstern i den samtida filosofiska debatten?
I en studiecirkel till hösten går vi under fem träffar igenom några av antologins texter och sätter oss in i grunderna i deras teorier. Som introduktion till studiecirkeln ger Stefan Jonsson en öppen föreläsning där han beskriver den politiska teorins aktuella situation och kontext.
Stefan Jonsson är professor vid Institute for Research on Migration, Ethnicity and Society, REMESO, Linköpings universitet.
