ROCKS OFF har gjort sina Stones-spelningar på scener runt om i Europa i mer än 25 år och är helt enkelt den största hyllningen till The Rolling Stones som finns att uppleva. Varje sann Stones fan - vet att Stones sällan spelar sina låtar exakt likadant två gånger. Därför är det nästan omöjligt att kopiera en Stones-upplevelse. Det är oundvikligt att alla musiker som hugger ut riffen till odödliga Jagger/Richards-låtar som Jumping Jack Flash eller Start Me Up kommer att få en del av Mick Jaggers personlighet att lysa igenom. Det är oundvikligt att en sångare som sjunger ovanstående låtar live på en scen kommer att börja anpassa sig till någon av sina egenskaper bara för att de är så unika från början. Stones musik och framförande kan aldrig kopieras, bara tolkas, och sättet som Tony Johnson & Rocks Off gör det på är verkligen sensationellt. Det är en av de sällsynta tillfällena där alla ingredienser blandas perfekt.
När vi lirade på The Cavern Club (där Beatles lirade många gånger innan de blev stora) så hade jag efter sista låten precis satt mig i logen när en kvinna kom inrusande och började överösa oss med beröm. Efter att ha gett mig en stor puss mitt på munnen så sa hon ”By the way I’m Julia, John Lennon’s sister, and you were the best Stones tribute band I’ve ever seen”! Hon hann även berätta att hon och John ibland blev osams då hon gillade Stones mer än Beatles. Vi har lirat en hel del i Liverpool efteråt och Julia är ofta på våra konserter alltid iklädd en Stones-tröja.
