Rasmus Sørensen Trio
Den danske pianisten Rasmus Sørensen har under de senaste åren fått stor internationell uppmärksamhet för sitt innovativa men lättillgängliga sound både som musiker och kompositör. Efter att ha tillbringat fem år i New York och så småningom blivit en av de mest efterfrågade jazzpianisterna där, flyttade han till Köpenhamn 2023 och är nu involverad i många framgångsrika projekt, och inte minst sin egen trio. Han har framfört sin musik runt om i Europa i länder som Frankrike, Nederländerna, Schweiz, Tyskland och Norge och även på prestigefyllda New York-scener som The Jazz Gallery och Smalls Jazz Club. Som bandledare har han släppt två album, det senaste med trummisen Kendrick Scott och basisten Alex Claffy. Hans tredje album med titeln At The Right Time släpps den 15 november på April Records.
Under sin vistelse i USA släppte han sitt debutalbum Traits 2022 som nominerades till Danish Music Award och han spelade på världsberömda jazzklubbar som Smalls, The Jazz Gallery, Café Bohemia, 55 Bar och Ornithology Jazz Club samt spelade in ytterligare ett album med Blue Note-trummisen Kendrick Scott och basisten Alex Claffy, släppt på April Records tidigare i år.
Hans långvariga Europeiska Trio består av den karismatiske italienska trummisen Francesco Ciniglio och den svenska basfenomenet Jon Henriksson, ursprungligen från Göteborg. De har turnerat i Danmark, Norge, Sverige, Tyskland och Nederländerna och har blivit kända som en av Europas mest originella pianotrio, som alltid levererar en fängslande och uttrycksfull konsertupplevelse. Både Rasmus och Jon har gjort ett flertal bejublade konserter på UtopiaJazz men det blir första gången de uppträder på Utopia i detta exklusiva Trioformat och de kommer att presentera en mängd nya låtar från At The Right Time samt några äldre låtar.
