Mikaeli kammarkör bjuder denna gång på den stora körmusiken – a cappella och i många stämmor. Musik som passar i S:ta Clara kyrkas ljusa och klangvänliga akustik.
Judith Bingham har för dubbelkör tonsatt en gripande text om två vänner, två uteliggare på Londons gator som återskapar minnet av en Kristusupplevelse. Ett tidigt verk av Sven-David Sandström som bygger på ett tema av barocktonsättaren Telemann följs av Pizzettis väldiga mässa - musik i en vacker, egenartad blandning av gregorianik och senromantik. Och suggestiva klanger i ortodox tradition får avsluta programmet. Den polske tonsättaren Penderecki har tonsatt, liksom många före honom, den berömda texten Song of Cherubin – mystik och jubel blandas i änglalik lovsång.
