Fans av atmosfärisk rock, dark wave, shoegaze och postpunk har nog inte undgått duon Pink Milks framfart den senaste tiden. Efter att ha släppt sin debutskiva ”Purple” har de turnerat flitigt i hela landet och spridit sitt filmiska 80 talsinspirerade ljudlandskap över festivaler och klubbar med bejublade spelningar på bland annat Subkultfestivalen, Umeå Open och Peace & Love.
Debutalbumet ”Purple” slog ner som en bomb 2017 och blev månadens bästa på kritiker.se samtidigt som Gaffa gav skivan 6 av 6 i betyg och kallade den ”en dånande uppvisning i alternativ rockmusik” och ”den bästa skivan som släppts på många år.” medan engelska The Indiependent skrev ”this small band has produced one of the most consistently great post-punk albums of the year”. Pink Milk blev även nominerat till årets rock/metal i P3 Guld, årets album samt årets genombrott i Gaffa-priset och årets shoegazealbum på amerikanska radiokanalen DKFM.

MOON MOUNTAIN (DK)
Moon Mountain er en eksperimenterende indie pop kvartet der udforsker den psykedeliske støjende rock og tilsætter en god portion ørekælende melodier og elektroniske beats. Bandet opererer indenfor et mystisk og til tider filmisk lydunivers, der byder på masser af dramatik og intensitet. Med Mona Selmas stærke vokalfigur i front samt solide bas- og guitarmelodier placeret i et dystert og drømmende univers - er der lagt op til en intim og samtidig eksplosiv affære.
Moon Mountain startede som duo i 2012, hvor flere rejser til USA de efterfølgende år var med til at forme deres unikke sound. Sound’en er bevaret mens antallet af medlemmer er fordoblet og udtrykket er blevet mere kraftfuldt og til tider dansabelt.
"Den københavnske psychrock-kvartet Moon Mountain giver dig en lektion i kærlighed, død og forliste forhold" skrev Noisey DK da Moon Mountain for nyligt udgav EP'en "High Heeled Man in Female Low Tide” og singleforløberen "Never Again" blev af samme magasin beskrevet som "et velkomment bombardement af poprocket nostalgi" og Bands of Tomorrow berettede, at Moon Mountain "med dette nummer har begået en lille genistreg: "Never Again" er råt, upoleret og dejligt befriende”.
Moon Mountain har leveret mange opsigtsvækkende liveshows - bl.a. på Aarhus Psych Fest, hvor lederen af festivalen, Stine Kloster, udtalte til Bands of Tomorrow, at ”folk gik derfra rørte og inspirerede og nærmest paf over, hvad der lige var sket”. Bandets nye stærke visuelle profil, med fokus påde “ens” kvindelige medlemmer Mona Selma (forsanger) og Ingvild Skandsen (synth), giver et ekstra kick til live oplevelsen.

När Ivy och boys sköter musiken är det bra synthar och dåliga gitarrer som gäller. Två vässade USB:n slås samman och resultatet är en salig blandning av allt mellan 60-tal och morgondag.
Arrangemanget görs med stöd från Nordisk Kulturfond - Puls, och i samarbete med Studiefrämjandet och Svensk Live.
