Vi är glada över att erbjuda en specialvisning av Blaise Harrisions film Particles i Skissernas Museums vackra lokaler i lund. Particles är den första av två visningar som tar plats på Skissernas Museum.
Particles placerar oss på den franska sidan av den fransk-schweiziska gränsen i Pays de Gex, där delar av CERN:s stora partikelacceleratoranläggning ligger nedgrävd. Här blir vi introducerade för Pierre-André (Thomas Daloz), eller P.A. Han spenderar sina dagar så som många andra tonåringar – hänger med sin bästa vän Merou (Salvatore Ferro), repar med sitt punkband, följer med sina vänner när de köper droger och blir förälskad i Roshine (Nea Lueders), som han tafatt blir kompis med på en fest. Men P.A:s verklighet tycks vara annorlunda från den hos människorna runt omkring honom. Han ser saker som lämnar honom förbryllad och efter en natt av camping och magiska svampar försvinner Merou.
Blaise Harrisons långfilmsdebut tar oss med på en atmosfärisk resa. En fullständigt olösbar gåta men vars svårgripbara mysterium, som är helt avsiktlig, är en del av dess sensoriska skönhet. Det viktigaste är inte handlingen, utan de känslor som filmen väcker. Den fantastiska men ändå så vardagliga skildringen av miljön kompletterat med den stämningsdrivna filmmusiken bidrar till en kuslig känsla som sakta men säkert sipprar in i filmens porer. Particles är en egendomlig ungdomsberättelse som får dig att ständigt tvivla på vad som egentligen är verkligt.

We are happy to present a special screening of Blaise Harrision’s Particles in the beautiful surroundings of Skissernas Museum, in Lund. Particles is the first of two screenings taking place at Skissernas Museum.
Particles drops us on the French side of the Franco-Swiss border near Geneva in Pays de Gex, where parts of the CERN Large Hadron Collider are buried beneath. Here we are introduced to Pierre-André (Thomas Daloz), P.A for short. He spends his days like many other teens, hanging out with his best friend, Merou (Salvatore Ferro), practicing with his punk band, following his friends to buy drugs and falling in love with Roshine (Nea Lueders), whom he awkwardly befriends during a houseparty. But P.A’s reality seems different from the people around him. He sees things that leave him puzzled and after a night of camping and tripping on mushrooms Merou vanishes.
Blaise Harrison’s debut feature takes us on an atmospheric journey. An entirely unsolvable head-scratcher, but the elusiveness of its mystery, entirely by design, is part of its sensorial beauty. What matters most is not the plot, but the feelings the film stirs. The stunning yet mundane depiction of the environment complimented by the mood-driven score contribute to the uncanny vibe that ever so gradually seeps into the pores of this film. Particles is a strange coming-of-age story that will keep you second guessing the fabric of its reality.
