Det är sommar. På landet. På behörigt avstånd från stadens buller och trängsel, delar två män tillfällig bostad. De har båda sina hemligheter och skäl att vara där och under berättelsens gång mullrar åskan i fjärran.
När SPECT scenkonst sätter upp Strindbergs klassiska enaktare om Herr Y och Herr X som tillbringar några veckor på landet under en het sommar, läses pjäsen med en icke-heterosexuell blick och berättelsen får en inramning av drömsk förhistoria och efterspel.

Johan Svensson är tillbaka i SPECT scenkonst efter två år på Masterprogrammet i fördjupat skådespeleri vid Högskolan för scen och musik i Göteborg, där han undersökt och vidareutvecklat de konstnärliga metoder han lärt känna i SPECT scenkonsts träningsforum för skådespelare. Hans arbete får nu en naturlig fortsättning tillsammans med Magdi Saleh i Paria.
