Välkommen på ett performativt samtal mellan konstnären Outi Pieski och arkeologen Eeva-Kristiina Nylander, i närvaro av två förmödrars ládjogahpir-hattar från Nordiska museets arkiv.
Outi Pieski och Eeva-Kristiina Nylander kommer att diskutera frågor som vad samiska museiföremål och tillhörigheter betyder för samiska samhällen, varför repatriering är viktigt samt fördjupa sig i begreppet rematriation. Under kvällen framför den samiska jojksångaren Ingá-Máret Gaup-Juuso några äldre stycken på luohti, en samisk sångtradition. Med hjälp av juoigan kommer förmödrarna att minnas kulturen, samhället, familjen och hemmet Sápmi, samernas land och dess natur. Samtalet hålls på engelska.
Pieskis utställning på Bonniers Konsthall är en del av det tvärvetenskapliga rematriationsprojektet Máttaráhku ládjogahpir—The Foremother’s Hat of Pride (2017–2020) som konstnären drivit tillsammans med Eeva-Kristiina Nylander. Projektet undersöker koloniseringen av sinnet och kroppen i samiska kvinnors historia genom en berättelse om ett föremål – ládjogahpirhatten.
Entré till utställningen ingår i priset. Begränsat antal platser.
