Vilhelm Wereens examenskonsert, kandidat klassisk musik.
"Och därmed Basta" blev titeln på mitt självständiga konstnärliga arbete. "Basta" är egentligen en italiensk term, "nu är det nog!", men det är även det namn som kompositören Folke Rabe titulerade sitt virtuosa solostycke för trombon med, "Basta". Stycket bygger på en rad annorlunda och ovanliga speltekniker. I mitt arbete har jag undersökt hur dessa finurligheter bygger upp olika karaktärer och känslor i olika delar av detta ganska korta stycke. Under konserten kommer ni att få höra min tolkning av detta verk.
Vad vore väl en konsert om det endast stod en ensam trombonist på scen dock? Nej, musik handlar ju om samspel. Därför kommer ni också att få höra både trombonkvartett och ett trombonsolo med ackompanjemang av blåsorkester i Derek Bourgeois Trombone Concerto op.114.
