William Shakespeares klassiska pjäs om en galen kung – som en galen clownföreställning
Richard, hertig av Gloucester, är sugen på att bli kung av England. Tyvärr är det så många människor han måste mörda för att tronen ska tillfalla honom. Sedan ska han lyckas gifta sig med hustrun till en av dem som han mördat. Och mörda henne för säkerhets skull. Och hennes barn. Och sedan mörda alla sina vänner, deras vänner, deras vänners brevvänner och överhuvudtaget alla han får syn på.
Till slut står han ensam kvar i röd clownnäsa och ropar ”en häst, en häst, mitt kungarike för en häst”. Men det finns inga hästar, för han har mördat alla.
Sommaren 2019 satte Claes Åström upp Shakespeares odödliga kärlekssaga Romeo och Julia som clownföreställning. Fem år senare återvänder han till Norrbotten med en ny Shakespeare-uppsättning som garanterat kommer att locka till skratt.
