Claudio Monteverdis madrigalsvit Lamento d’Arianna (Ariannas klagan) från 1614 och Lamento della Ninfa från 1638 bildar relief till nutida madrigaler av Bo Hansson och Lars-Johan Werle. Men inspiration hämtas från samma källa – de odödliga diktarna Ottavio Rinuccini och Francesco Petrarca!
Till en fördjupad upplevelse bidrar Maja Verner Carlsson med text och läsning och Karl Nyhlin med spel på luta och teorb.
