OM MWUANA
Mwuana har länge legat och bubblat på den svenska musikscenen, men det är först nu som han på allvar presenterat sig för världen. Med sitt unika uttryck, där det känslosamma får möta det hårda, har Mwuana etablerat sig som en innovatör av både svensk R&B och hiphop. Här finns melodier och ljudbilder som tidigare saknats i Sverige, som innan bara realiserats till fullo på andra sidan atlanten. Mwuana har med sitt unika skapande tagit Sverige med storm – något som han ämnar fortsätta med.
Efter en hyllad EP-trilogi släppte Mwuana i våras sitt efterlängtade debutalbum ”Triller”, där han på sitt alldeles egna sätt fastslog vad svensk R&B är och kan vara. Redan innan albumsläppet har han nominerats till priser i både både P3 Guld och Manifestgalan, och med ”Triller” under västen lär priserna bli fler. Albumet har nämligen lyfts till skyarna av en enig kritikerkår, och kammat hem höga betyg och hyllningar hos såväl recensenter som fans. ”Triller” är en milstolpe inom genren, och inget kommer i fortsättningen att vara sig likt – det kan vi vara eniga om.
